Inspiring insights into the World of Burlesque
The Burlesque Festival Mainz is especially proud to present a truly remarkable contemporary witness – and a genuine Mainz local: Odette, a “Meenzer Mädche” through and through. Born in 1932, she danced in the children’s ballet at the Mainz City Theater and received her ballet training under Mr. Raimonda. From the 1960s to the 1980s, she performed in nightclubs across Europe, captivating audiences with elegance, charm, and exceptional dance virtuosity. In her own vivid words and moving memories, she will share insights about the era of beauty dance during a Meet & Greet.

Stroll over the festival market in the foyer of Alte Lokhalle Mainz before the shows. Next to the festival’s merchandise stand you’ll find Burlesque accessoires, vintage and dance clothing, souvenirs of Mainz and so much more. Weingut Stenner treats you with their finest wines and bubblies, catering serves fingerfood and local specialties.
