Please make sure your application is complete, as we will not consider incomplete applications. Links to videos of your act should not be protected by password. You can apply with up to two acts per application: solos, duos or troupes. You should apply separately if you wish to enter more than one entity (e.g. solo and troupe).

PAYMENT
If you are selected to perform at the Burlesque Festival Mainz you will receive a fee (non negotiable)

• of 150 Euro (for solo performers)
• of 225 Euros (group of two)
• of 275 Euro (group of three and more)

INVOICES
Please send your invoice to within 3 weeks after the festival date. Without an invoice within this time we can not pay you. Your invoice will be paid within three weeks after invoice receipt.

You are responsible for making sure the invoice is complete and that it complies with the tax and business laws of your region.

Applications are accepted from September 12th, 2025. Applications are free of charge until September 25th, 2025 A non refundable application fee of € 13 is to be paid via Paypal after September 25th, 2025 to showtime at stormy-heather.com. We would appreciate it if you can make it a payment to “friends and family”. Application Deadline is November 25 (23h 59 CET), 2025

Notification to applicants
January 15, 2026 latest Burlesque, Boylesque, Queerlesque – we are open to the full variety of the art of the tease, as long as it’s a professional act. We are looking for acts of all genres – singer, comedy, vaudeville, cabaret, circus, artistic – yes, fire and aerial are also possible! We are a competition-free and non-judgement festival, no matter your gender, your shape or size – we would love to see you on our stage. Please understand that we only have around 28 performance slots. For any additional questions about the festival or for further information about the venue, don’t hesitate to contact us.

APPLICATIONS

• If you receive an offer to appear in the Burlesque Festival Mainz you must commit to it within one week (seven days) of it being sent out, or your place will go to another applicant.
• By sending in your application to Burlesque Festival Mainz you agree that – should you be selected to perform – your name and promotional photograph you sent to us may be used freely for press and promotional purposes in connection with the festival.
• By appearing in the Burlesque Festival Mainz you agree to being photographed and filmed on stage and in the venues without making any claims on the material. You agree to allow the Burlesque Festival Mainz to use your images and video for future promotional purposes for free.
• If you are selected to perform you agree to promote the festival through your social media and website, for at least three weeks in advance of the festival.
• Should you receive an offer to perform in Germany one month prior to the Burlesque Festival Mainz we kindly ask you to let us know and promote the festival at your show. We can provide flyers and other promotional materials.
• Please note that our venues have a strict non glitter and non confetti policy. (Please get in touch about any liquids used in your act.)
• All information regarding the venue, the stage, lighting and dressing room allocation will be given prior to the event via mail and in the facebook group as well as tech runs and rehearsal time slots. WHAT WE OFFER: In addition to the invoiced fee, we offer
• Free entrance to both festival shows. You will have a guaranteed seat for the show you are not performing and a spot (seating not guaranteed) the night you are not performing.
• Backstage catering (veggie option available) will be provided to you on the night of your performance. Soft drinks will also be available free of charge on the night of your performance, plus a lot of sparkles from our partner in Wine “Weingut Stenner”.
• Photos from the event. Please credit all media as follows: Burlesque Festival Mainz, photographer/videographer name, #bf_mz
• The possibility to buy performer videos for a good price
• There will be a merch table during the festival, where you can sell your pictures and merchandise.

TERMS & CONDITIONS BFMZ 2026 WHAT WE DO NOT OFFER:

• We do not offer any guestlist slots for friends or family. Please support our festival by inviting friends and family to purchase a ticket.
• It is not possible to enter the backstage area on the day/night on which you are not performing.
• NO GUESTS are allowed backstage at any time. Assistants are possible but must be announced beforehand.
• The Burlesque Festival Mainz does not cover your travel and accommodation expenses.
• The Burlesque Festival Mainz is not responsible for any loss, damage or theft of props or costumes. We will of course do all we can to help if such a situation arises. Please contact the staff of the Burlesque Festival Mainz immediately.
